To be an entrepreneur and a researcher at the same time may seem like an odd mix. However, we are excited to see more and more researchers who are willing to embark on an adventure by putting their research out there in order to create economic and societal impact. Being an entrepreneurial researcher sometimes takes guts, but at the same time it enriches the field of research and education, and therefore it is beneficial to our society. That is why these researchers deserve our support!
We start with creating awareness in order to introduce you to the possibilities of valorising your research. Next, we scout and screen research projects with market potential. Then we simply offer you our support throughout the different steps of the valorisation process. In other words: our aim is to offer you the best possible journey from your research project to the market. Amongst other things, we can offer you support when it comes to protecting your invention, exploring possible collaborations with other companies and by getting you in touch with investors.
Additionally, Business Generator Groningen also supports various initiatives to encourage the regional and national innovative ecosystem. The Campus Community Fund (an initiative of Campus Groningen, NOM and Rabobank) and Science to Impact (an initiative of the Dutch Universities and Techleap.nl) are just two examples.
